Travel Expenses and Reimbursement
If you have already received approval from your SEISMIC Working Group(s) for travel funds to the SEISMIC Summer Meeting, please fill out the form below by May 1, 2023. The information you provide will be used by SEISMIC Central to book your flight and/or hotel room.
If you have not already received approval from your SEISMIC Working Group(s), or require additional funds, please fill out the form below by April 21, 2023. SEISMIC Central will review all requests and follow up with you in a timely manner.
If you need reimbursement for travel expenses after the SEISMIC Summer Meeting, please fill out the form below.
Hotel Block
SEISMIC has arranged two different hotel blocks for our Summer Meeting. Note: The deadline for booking with the SEISMIC hotel blocks has passed. However, participants are still encouraged to book with either the Graduate Ann Arbor or Bell Tower Hotel if there is availability.
If SEISMIC is paying for your hotel room, you should receive an email with this information a few days AFTER you register for the SEISMIC Summer Meeting. If you are unsure if SEISMIC is paying for your hotel room, please feel free to reach out to Project Manager Nita Tarchinski at nitaked@umich.edu.
Getting to University of Michigan – Ann Arbor
The SEISMIC Summer Meeting will be taking place in Weiser Hall. The address is 500 Church St, Ann Arbor, MI 48109.
Both Uber and Lyft are commonly used in Ann Arbor. DTW is around 45 minutes away from the city and the Michigan Flyer does daily trips from Ann Arbor to DTW and from DTW to Ann Arbor.
